How to attend TEDxAberdeen?

Tickets to TEDxAberdeen are now on sale. All are welcome to join and hear from an eclectic lineup of local speakers exploring the theme of Minds Wide Open.

General Admission tickets are on sale for £45 through the Aberdeen Art Centre booking system. Tickets are limited to 2 per booking. During the booking you will be asked to share a brief introduction to who you are and what you hope to gain from attending TEDxAberdeen 2026.

Tickets are limited and issued as first come, first served. The ticket price includes full day attendance, lunch and refreshments, a goody bag and all booking fees.

About TEDx Events

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED created TEDx—a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDxAberdeen, live speakers and video talks combine to spark deep discussion and connection. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual events are self-organized.

ATTENDEE INSTRUCTIONS

. Timeline: We encourage all attendees to take part in the whole day, from the opening session through to the final talk. Guests should arrive by 9:00am with doors opening from 8:30am. TEDx is designed as a shared experience, so staying for the full programme helps you get the most from the day.

Lunch and Catering: Lunch and refreshments will be provided as part of your ticket and dietary requirements will be accomodated for. More details about the catering arrangements will be published closer to the event.

Dress code: There is no formal dress code – come as you are and dress casually and comfortably.

Filming and Photography: The event will be recorded, and TEDx talks will be professionally filmed. By attending, you may appear in event photography or video footage.

Seating: Seating will be unallocated and available on a first-come, first-served basis for General Admission guests. There are no reserved or allocated seats, so please arrive in good time.

Phones: Please keep your phone on silent during talks and sessions. We encourage you to stay present, although there will be opportunities throughout the day to connect and share your experience.

Cancellation: All tickets are non-refundable. Spaces to the event are limited. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please contact the TEDxAberdeen team as other guests may be able to attend from the waitlist.

VENUE

Venue: TEDxAberdeen will take place at Aberdeen Arts Centre, 33 King Street, Aberdeen, AB24 5AA, at the junction of King Street and West North Street.

Travel: Aberdeen Arts Centre is centrally located and can be easily reached by public transport, taxi or on foot with options outlined here. There is no dedicated attendee parking at Aberdeen Arts Centre, but nearby options include Frederick Street Car Park, Gallowgate Car Park, and Bon Accord Car Park (Loch Street). Parking charges and availability may vary.
